WHISKEY GOLF

Posted by: user79118 | Sun 30th Dec 2007 22:29 | Last Reply

Played 18 on Friday at my local club with the rules being slightly changed. 18 holes equals 18 whiskeys. 1 shot of whiskey on the tee of each hole. If a birdie is scored then a whiskey is also had on the green of that hole. ( no one behind us so no hold up of play ). By the time our four ball had finished the 18 we had 22 whiskeys each. Hic. Not bad eh. 4 birdies when intoxicated. We seemed to play better after 3 or 4 holes when the alcohol made us all relax, but then made us play worse towards the end of the round. Great fun but might alter the rules next xmas to 1 drink every 2 holes. Still broke 90 though. Anybody done anything similar or got any other ideas to make a cold and wet December round of golf more enjoyable!

Ah yes, society days spent up in Scotland, 18 holes in the morning, back to the clubhouse for food and a few swift shandies and back on the course for  a very relaxed afternoon, one thing i noticed was the swing was always much better on the afternoon.

You could become an alcaholic in this game....

The whiskey golf sounds like a classic game that should be utilised at least once a year, you might play well due to the fact your not really thinking about your swing too much and if you have a horrible round then you can just blame the drink....its a win win situation!!!! good work Chris!!!

Sounds as if you are already well organised to be a Captain.
