Hi all

Can anyone tell why is it  that profesionals always take a divot when they hit there ball and is it something I can learn to improve my game as the only time I take a divot is if I miss hit the ball

 Regards

Their divots come after they hit the ball, whereas most of ours come from before the ball.

If concentrate on striking a good shot, you will naturally take a divot, usually about the size of a five pound note.

Perhaps I could suggest that you take these large divots of yours home, David, so that you can practice on them.

Don't you mean Bootsie and Snudge?  And Jimmy Edwards..

I once heard a commentator say that only really bad players and pro's take divots, guess which one that makes me.....

I had a few rounds recently where I seemed to be burrowing to Australia with every iron shot...ruined my rounds.  Haven't done it recently tho???
