Posted by: user30119 | Mon 5th Nov 2007 10:44 | Last Reply

Hi

Does anyone know the correct way to setup and resister a new golf society as ive been told you can use this as a offical handicap instead of becoming a member at a golf club?

why do you need your handicap to be official?

Are there still course that restrict playing based on this?

Colin we are in the process of booking a golfing holiday but have been warned that we may need a offical handicap as proof.

I spoke to a man from the Algrave Golf Agency and he said "they accept 'Society' certificates which anyone can form and issue your own handicap certificates!

So does anyone know where to being in setting up a new socirty and where so you have to resisiter it to make it offical?

Mark
