new player looking for players and some tips

hi and hello. after playing a par 3 course this past week with my local round table and really really enjoyed it i thought i willl take the step and start to play properly. So the question i have is this ( ok i just had a red dwarf moment as i typed this) is there anyone around the winsford area of cheshire who would like a game some time and help me out with a few tips.
