What the club says: Officially designated an area of outstanding natural beauty in 133 acres of parkland and bordered by the river Thames, it makes an exquisite and tranquil setting for the course. Within it lies 3 lakes and challenging wetland areas to add to the attractions of the par 72 course.
Designed by former Ryder Cup Captain Brian Huggett MBE, it features a double green, sleepered bunker and sleepered lake edges of a typical American design.

Linksy Parkland
Played on a lovely summer's day. The holes near the Thames were flooded earlier in the year but are all fine now. It's not a long course but all the holes are interesting with plenty of raised bunkering. I am always looking for value for money golf and you can play for £28 at certain times. The whole resort looks superb now!Reviewer Rating

Fantastic Golf Course and Club
Having just spent a weekend here I can honestly say this is one of the nicest places and a must if your a Sunday driver like me. Course wasn't long but can catch you out if your not careful. Greens were immaculate and the bunkers are the best in the area. The clubhouse was very modern and have fair prices. All in all a great deal and I will be returning!!Reviewer Rating

Good Test
Really enjoyed my 2nd visit here. Was laying in the Trilby Tour event so course was set up tough with some thicker rough and greens were very very good. Its a fari test of golf. Not needing to hit driver everywhere. Stay away from the water and bunkers and youll do just fine.Reviewer Rating

What's going to stop you from getting a good score? There are lots of fairly steep faced bunkers, rough if you stray too far away from the fairways, and a few holes where water comes into play. I imagine that most standards of players will be able to play here, but the course will punish those with wayward shots.
The clubhouse is really lovely too, and an excellent place to stop for a drink after (or before) the round.
The last time I played here was over 10 years ago, but I'll certainly hope to return far sooner than that.

OK course
Course layout/challenge - The course layout was interesting enough, although a number of tees and greens were quite close to each other, which resulted in a lot of shouts of ?fore?. To be fair it was also a very windy day, making shots move considerably in the air. This in itself probably was the greatest challenge, to what would probably prove to be a fairly standard course when not windy.Club and Facilities The clubhouse was nicely paid out, and designed on a mock Tudor look. It did seem to be a little like a rabbit warren inside, making finding your way around awkward. There did however seem to be all the necessary facilities. I thought the pro-shop was a little small, and very much in the middle of the building which meant you couldn't walk in wearing golf shoes. There is a nice balcony upstairs, which provides a decent view of players coming down the 18th, but my round took longer than expected, and I had to rush off, so didn't really spend time investigating.
Value for money I played this course in the Trilby Tour pre-qualifier for ?55.00, which did not include any food etc. I don't know how much the round is normally, but I would say it would not be worth ?55, but would be ok value at say ?40.
Pace of play Perhaps it was the Trilby Tour players, or even the very windy day, but I thought the round was very slow. This was particularly obvious when we got to holes 14 and 15, which are both par 5?s, and where a bottle-neck had developed. This would be the usual big-hitters waiting for the greens to clear, and then not getting anywhere near the green!
Friendliness and hospitality I spent some money in the pro-shop on ball markers, so the guy was quite chatty, as were my playing partners. Obviously we did not see many local members, and I didn't visit the bar/catering, so I cannot really tell.
Course conditions The course seemed in decent condition, although they still had preferred lies in place, which I found a little surprising. The greens were quite quick, and seemed to run true, although for me personally, I was having a very off day with the putter. Bunkers seemed to be well stocked with sand, although not always well raked. Tees and fairways were good. It took me 6 holes before I noticed any course signage, which was fairly minimal, as the tee sign did not include any detail about the hole we were playing, so no yardages, or even any clue as to the shape of the hole, which is not good for a first time visitor.
Practice facilities There was a decent sized putting green, and nearby another green for chipping, which also had practise bunkers. I believe there is also a driving range a shortish walk from the clubhouse, but I did not investigate.
Food and drink As food was not laid on for our visit, and I had an almost 2 hour drive to the course, I ate before driving, and headed straight off after our round, I therefore cannot comment on quality or cost etc.
Would you ? Recommend - This would depend on the price of a round
Play again ? Only if I was in the area ? for me it was not worth a 2 hour drive to play this course.

Little gem
A lovely nice flat course which has had some really good improvements to it, bunkers are particularly nasty addition and best avoided with steep sides. Greens were in great Nick and clubhouse done up to a supply a warm welcome(Round played: Jan 2022 - Score: 96 Handicap: 17.7)
