What the club says: One of Britain’s finest courses, The Hotchkin, is built on sandy soil which allows for year round play. Set amongst banks of gorse and broom, backed up with layered canopies of oak, fir and towering silver birch and encapsulated all upon a glorious carpet of heather, the natural beauty of this Lincolnshire oasis serves only to emphasise the majesty of this famous course.
The National Golf Centre coaching facilities include a driving range and four-acre short game coaching area.

Classic parkland course with gorse, heather, many bunkers and superb greens; very challenging but a delight to play.

Second course? Probably harder than the main one.
Well, if the Hotchkin is difficult, this one can verge on the impossible. It's defence is the green complexes and some look like they've got elephants buried under them.Many holes need a real thought process to get from tee to green. The bunkers aren't as numerous as the Hotchkin, but they all seem to be in the wrong (right?) place. and just for good measure there's plenty of water hazards to catch you out.

This course is really blooming hard but I love a challenge, and this course definitely provides one. The fairways are excellent, there are lots of bunkers and the greens were supern. It's perfectly maintained and stunning layout make it a real joy to play.

The fairways were excellent and the bunkers were plentiful and penal. The putting surfaces were brilliant and the overall quality of the course was great. The green and fairway quality was well presented and difficult but not ridiculously so. Highly recommend a visit!

The course
Played the Bracken this week, after all the dry weather it is in good condition, greens a little slow. I would save yourself a lot of money and eat in the village, much better quality food and value for money.Reviewer Rating

Superb round on Hotchkin course
Played a 3 ball on a sunny and windy April Monday morning. Friendly starter, pro shop and incredible warm up facilities. Course was an absolute delight, challenging bunkers and quick, hard greens. Every hole was a different challenge. Easily the best course I have played.Reviewer Rating

What can I say, it's the Hotchkin. It's a superb place to play your golf. The course was immaculate and the weather even favoured us on the day. Second time playing it and it was even better than the first time. I came away with 42 points on one of the hardest courses in England, so maybe I am a little rose tinted on this one!
