What the club says: At just over 6500 yards from the white tees, this is a long and demanding yet most enjoyable par 72 parkland layout. Feature holes such as challenging par 3 2nd, the classic 405 yard par 4 11th, or the 120 yard par 3 8th will test the skill of the most hardened veteran. Spa is however quite a relaxing venue with panoramic views from the 17th tee of the Mourne Mountains and also an abundance of resident wildlife. Adjacent to the Montalto Estate, Spa is certainly well worthy of a visit

Long course in great condition

An unexpected gem
First time I have ever played Spa and now I wonder why. Lovely course in absolutely pristine condition. Fairways immaculate and lots of slope on them. Greens hard and very fast but very true. Not a long course by current standards but played pretty difficult.Quite slow at times as there are a few bottlenecks especially around the difficult par 3 second. Not helped by people thinking they are Rory McIlroy though.
Will definitely play this course again.

Played this course last week.Course had a lot of cut grass lying on it, bunkers were poor, pin possitions very hard and greens were all different speeds
