Interesting course but slow greens
Very interesting layout with driver not really being an option on many holes but others playing very long like the 243 yard par 3. Good condition overall but could tell straight away that the greens needed a cut which unfortunately meant they were quite slow. A few tee boxes could have been trimmed too. I’d recommend a visit though if you’re after a mid price course.Reviewer Rating

Outstanding
Before we went someone referred to it as 'the Augusta of the North', they weren't wrong. Fantastic course, beautiful condition and a great test of golf. It was also one of the most friendly and welcoming we've visited for a long while.Reviewer Rating

A beautiful setting
The Hirsel is set in a beautiful tree lined setting, we played in February and the condition of the course was very good. All the greens were i play and it was a very enjoyable day?s golf.Reviewer Rating

Augusta of the North
The Hirsel is one of those locations that quietly and competently garner a reputation as "One you simply must play sometime". This is well deserved as the club, course and welcome are spot on. The real difference though is despite us being a society of "average high handicappers" the warm and positive response from members out on the course was first class. Wonderful!
This is a must play course. Its one of scotands hidden gems. Hilly in parts but such great quality.(Round played: May 2017 - Score: 102 Handicap: 20.9)

A wee hidden gem in the Borders. Stay straight (as with most courses!) and the course will reward you. Very friendly staff, lots of facilities and I've already booked for next time. Splendid.

Lovely course with very good facilities. Played on an overcast day following showers. Fairways and greens drained well.

The Hirsel Gc is a fantastic course in excellent condition despite it only being early April. I have played here several times and never been disappointed. It is a very picturesque course with a stream coming into play on several holes. and quite challenging. The greens are very good .All the staff from the Pro to the clubhouse are so friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be back again later in the year
