A fabulous golf day for the group with a friendly and flexible team.
We are only 8 in our group yet Rodway always accommodates us for 18 holes with a lunch in between. A sweet course with some challenging holes that are not too long.Reviewer Rating

Flooded
Playing a round of golf at Rodway Golf Course during a monsoon rainstorm was an adventure unlike any other. Despite the challenging conditions, the course managed to maintain its charm and allure, offering golfers a unique and memorable experience. The first thing that struck me as I arrived at the course was its stunning natural beauty. Nestled amidst lush greenery and bordered by picturesque mountains, Rodway Golf Course exudes tranquility and serenity. However, on the day of my visit, this tranquility was disrupted by the relentless downpour of the monsoon rain.
As I made my way through the course, it quickly became apparent that the recent deluge had transformed Rodway into something resembling a flood plain. Puddles dotted the fairways, and the once-pristine greens were sodden and waterlogged. However, despite the challenging conditions, the course remained open, a testament to the resilience and dedication of its staff.
Navigating the waterlogged fairways and greens presented a unique set of challenges. Approach shots required careful consideration of both distance and trajectory, as the rain-soaked ground affected the roll of the ball. Putting became an exercise in patience and precision, as even the gentlest stroke could send the ball veering off course on the saturated greens.
Despite the adversity, there was a sense of camaraderie amongst the players. We shared laughs and exchanged stories of near misses and miraculous shots, finding solace in the shared experience of battling the elements. And amidst the chaos of the storm, there were moments of sheer beauty – the rain-soaked landscape taking on an ethereal quality, with mist rising from the mountains in the distance.
Overall, my experience at Rodway Golf Course during the monsoon rainstorm was one I will never forget. While the conditions were undoubtedly challenging, they added an element of excitement and adventure to the game. And amidst the floodwaters and rain-soaked fairways, I found a newfound appreciation for the resilience of both the course and the golfers who dared to brave the storm.

amazing high quality playing surfaces
We played a little after a pretty wet spell and your mowers were just out in time before another pretty heavy shower.Nevertheless the fairways ran and the greens were okay once we got used to them.
Cafe a touch understaffed on Monday so we'll have to check that next time.

a great day out
The staff are mega friendly accommodating our group's wishes for a lunch break etc. We had fun in the cafe with a shortage of bacon, a non delivery of eggs and then a beer with no fizz.Reviewer Rating

a relaxed golf day for our syndicate
Swallowing hard to absorb the considerable increase in green fees, we were disappointed not to observe any noticeable change in the course. Greens ran well and the fairways were well groomed although the rough was more overgrown than usual. The kitchen was quick to serve the bacon butties allowing us to promptly get out for a second 9 holes. In all a great day out.Reviewer Rating

Great course
Nice friendly course. Very popular hence very busy at times. Course is rarely closed due to inclement weather. Some holes can be muddy due to poor drainage (clay soil) after prolonged rain. Green keepers work very hard to aintain the courseReviewer Rating

A fabulous golf day for the group with a friendly and flexible team.
we are a group of 10 golfers looking each week for a relaxing day out at a golf course. The staff at Rodway Hill provided this in spades. The course was open in pretty marginal frosty conditions; together with a driving range and putting green for warm-up. There were only a few temporary tees and all the greens were operational. We had a great lunch in their warm cafe and returned to the course in our own time.Reviewer Rating
