Surpassed Expectations
Very handy location close to A1.A number of 9 hole course combinations can be played.
We played the bishops course a combination of courses C and D.
People in the clubhouse were very helpful.
The course itself was in better condition than I expected with both Fairways and greens being faultless.
The only issue I had during our visit was signage. To start with the course entrance sign is far to far back. We both only spotted it after passing the turn off.
Signage on the course also needs to be better when there are so many separate courses to distinguish between. The location of some signs was confusing, the condition of some signs were very poor and on the tee boxes a number had nothing to confirm you were on the right hole.
Signage aside we had a very enjoyable visit. The course in places has lots of trees making drives quite intimidating at times. But the trees and general aspect of the course help you to appreciate the beautiful countryside the course is set in and at £18 the green fees were very reasonable.
