What the club says: The Bruce Course or 'The Wild Child' of Kinross Golf Courses, is highly regarded and seen as a good test of golf. The par 73, at 6,231 yards is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and fantastic views of the beautiful hills, providing a real feeling of freedom. While occasional golfers often find The Bruce more to their liking, scoring well is no given. And arrogant golfers beware: four early par-5s does not mean four "easy birdie holes", and those who think so often find their card in shreds embarrassingly early in the round. However, spot the optimum scoring opportunities on The Bruce and you just might outsmart this feisty course.

Bunkers
The stones and lack of sand in some of the bunkers are the only minus points. The course and greens are in excellent conditionReviewer Rating

Great Experience
Had a great experience here for the day. First impressions, the guy in the pro shop was extremely friendly and helpful, exactly what you want - felt welcome right away.Unfortunately due to an error we were double booked with some members who were playing a medal. They were very accommodating and allowed us to go ahead of them otherwise we will have been delayed for an hour or so.
The course was in fantastic condition, green were well manicured as well as the tee boxes. Some of the greens are just absolutely stunning though, honestly, pictures don’t do them justice. I can’t wait to come up again to play this course, will get some more friends up, stay at the hotel, get some golf in and then jump over to the beer garden for some drinks afterwards.

A Great Day.
Finally played Kinross (Montgomery) for the first time this year after it being recommended by various friends. It didn’t disappoint, what a brilliant golf course. The layout itself is challenging but fair, nothing too quirky or tricked up, just some really strong golf holes. It was in superb condition, in fact I’ve yet to play a course this year with greens in better shape. We got a lovely welcome from the gentleman in the Professional Shop and he was very helpful giving us some advice about the water holes. There were two other Professionals playing behind us, we chatted to them briefly and I think it says a lot that other Pro’s choose to play here on their days off. I’m looking forward to my next visit already, this time to play the Bruce course.Reviewer Rating

Better Every Time!
I’ve been playing both of these courses as a visitor for the bast part of 15 years now and I can honestly say they get better every year. We’ve just returned from another weekend staying in The Green Hotel and the golf courses are the best I have ever seen them, the greens in particular are phenomenal. The level of customer service from the Pro and his Assistant was first class, they couldn’t do enough for us. There are a few reviews on here criticising the bunkers and I would also agree that they are the weakest part of the course. It isn’t all of them, maybe about a third of them require attention but don’t let that put you off. We’re already booked up for next year and looking forward to it already.Reviewer Rating

Bunkers
The 2 courses are in lovely condition given the weather we’ve had this year,The one negative is the Bunkers !! Where there Is sand ? It looks like building sand has been used (thousands of stones )

Quality fairways and greens, shame about bunkers.
Just played both courses, greens fabulous, but have to say the bunkers were a disgrace. Looked like they had been filled in from local slag heap and that is how they played. How actual members find them acceptable is a mystery Spoilt otherwise great experience.Reviewer Rating

Interesting Woodland layout
Fair test in an intersting layout. All holes are tree lines, but otherwise varied. Some burns and a pond, some dog legs each way, tight and gradual, severla fairly straight. Greens generally on the small side, good slopes and borrows that are fairly readable. A little ragged in parts, especially round the tees, and overall grass on the lush side, with ground a little soft, but not unusual for woodland/parkland course in a wet autumn.Reviewer Rating
