What the club says: Among the big golfing names on the Fylde Coastline, Herons' Reach is growing in reputation and stature to be right at home with its impressive neighbours. Designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clarke it is in immaculate condition with water hazards on no less than 12 holes, including the awesome 9th with the famous tower as a backdrop. The course has been the stage for several finals of the De Vere PGA North Region Championships and is destined to become a classic so take this opportunity to get there before the crowds.
What Golfshake says: On the Blackpool coast and tough when the wind blows. Not the longest by any means but a typical De Vere track with tough greens and always a tough test.

The golf course is challenging enough for medium handicapped players, offers well kept fairways and greens and plays ok in the wet, would recommend a visit , also great for large groups. The venue is comfortable with excellent bar facilities, coffee shop and swimming pool, the restaurant food isn't to standard and requires improvement.

Heron's Reach
I read some trip reviews, and with trepidation booked the course for a 3 ball - 15.00 tee off. The course was in my opinion in a very good condition, especially given the inclement weather we have had for our summer! no muddy shoes, no wet patches..... thoroughly enjoyed the facilities and the course. play again? Course very wet under foot on fairways suggest using a fairway Matt if your lucky enough to find your ballThey shouldn't be charging full price in wet conditions definitely a summer course if to re visit

Abysmal
Absolutely shocking. The course was a mud bath and would not have been open if it wasn't for four societies being booked on.One hole was closed due to being to wet but every other hole was more mud that grass. Fairways clearly hadn't been cut in over a week.
Playing Sunday league on the course would have been tough but golf nigh on impossible.
The club took the money over the course and it will take a long time for this to recover.
Good job it was a very cheap deal we got!

Comfortable stay
Had a comfortable stay , great pool and bar area. Golf course was in good condition considering wet weather. Rooms were spacious and had a good nights sleep!Reviewer Rating
