What the club says: Here is an interesting mix of holes on this 18 hole par 67 undulating parkland course from some tricky little par threes to some very testing par fours. The course offers views of Arthur's Seat and the historic Calton Hill monuments. This is a relatively short 5511 yard course that will suit all abilities.

Pretty good for a council course
Short course for reasonably big hitters, but you still have to get the ball into the right places. Small greens. Tidy, and bunkers have good sand at present. No driving range, small putting area, no facilities for bacon rolls, just turn up and play. Must book though online.
Might get a pint after the game if you can get signed into the clubhouse.1

Nice course for a quick 21/2 hour round
Excellent condition for a council course, not overly busy, and it's unusual to get behind a foursome during the week. The greens are small and hard to hit, but run true. Hit it on line at the right pace and you'll be fine.

Last played here over 30 yrs ago
Last played here over 30 yrs ago and while I could only remember the 1st hole I really enjoyed my round on this lovely, well maintained & presented Edinburgh Council course. Not too strenuous a course to get around and the greens are a nice, neat size with enough slopes and bunker protection to present a good challenge.(Round played: Jul 2019 - Score: 84 Handicap: 17)

Super condition
Great condition for a council-run course. Some bunkers are a bit light on sand and dog walkers can sometimes pose problems, but generally a good, straight forward course, no par 5's. Small greens will benefit those with a good short game, but greens are pretty true.(Round played: May 2019 - Score: 86 Handicap: 21.7)
