What the club says: Located in a mature part of the Leverhulme Estate at the heart of the Wirral Peninsula, Bromborough is renowned as a hidden gem of a Golf Course; “Wirral’s Parkland Jewel®". For over 100 years golfers have been tackling the distinctive 18 holes that play between 6300 and 6600 yards depending on the tees used. Its quality can be evidenced by its selection to host the English Amateur Matchplay Championship in 2005, English Men’s Seniors Championship 2003 and the Cheshire Matchplay in 2010.

Not Bad But Not Great Either
We were told to expect something special compared to our normal society venues but this wasn't the case. It is a parkland course and locally I would compare it to Vicars Cross and Prenton, both of which I prefer. It was decent but not as good as I had been led to believe in all honesty. No real stand out holes, but it wasn't necessarily boring by any stretch. I would only recommend it if you don't care about value. I don't mind paying £50/£60 for a round of golf if it is worth it but when you can play better courses for slightly less within 20 minutes I don't think that represents value. I was kind on the course conditions section as the weather has been awful during spring. Also 16 of us who fancied a nice coffee and maybe some breakfast but no one there on a Sunday morning to facilitate. I've said I would play again as I would like to see what it is like after some decent weather, couldn't recommend at the moment for £60 though in all honesty. Greens weren't fantastic but again I would love to see what it is like after a run of decent weather.Reviewer Rating

Good parkland course
One of the best on the Wirral peninsula, a tricky test particularly the final holes which are tough.Reviewer Rating

Friendly place!
Played for the first time & was welcomed by the assistant pro (Mark) and chatted to a number of members, very welcoming course. Couple of holes were closed but overall the greens were good and the par 3s in particular were memorable. Will definitely return in a few months.Reviewer Rating

Best Parkland Course in the area
An excellent parkland course, a good test with plenty of challenges. They have a number of holes with ecobunkers so their bunkers are excellent. Clubhouse, bar and food were also nice. You will enjoy it. I'll definitely return.Reviewer Rating

Good course
I played Bromborough last Wednesday with my society and the course was in very good condition considering all the rain we have had. The greens were very good and will be even better when we get decent weather. Overall I would recommend this as a very good course to play in this area, the only downside was the price of a pint but if your only having a couple its not too bad.Reviewer Rating
