What the club says: Surrey National Golf Club covers in excess of 200 acres and the course is set in two dramatic valleys which merge at the northern end of the course offering superb views over the local countryside. Carefully positioned bunkers, raised tees, tree lined fairways and two teasingly placed lakes mean a good test of a golfers repertoire is required.

Good day out
Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Course very hilly so glad I had a buggy. Greens lovely and flat and smooth and good to read. Overall a great course and I would expect a good workout too. Great food breakfast to die forReviewer Rating

Ok
Not my fav, but in good condition for the time of year and was blowing a howler for the 1st nine. Course is across two valleys so lots of uneven lies.Reviewer Rating

Great Course
Not played the course before and after several days of rain I didn't know what to expect. It was actually in great condition, a few little soggy bits and some bunkers were new water features, but nothing that affected our round negatively. The fairways and green were in green nick. Greens were slow but we expected that, I expect they will be more challenging in the summer when they run faster as very few of them are flat. The front 9 is definitely easier than the back 9 which, on a fairly rolling course was quite tiring by the end. For a high handicapper like myself the back 9 was certainly tough, but enjoyable. Nice clubhouse, good bacon sarnies, we will returnReviewer Rating

Not bad
Course condition was not too bad given all the wet and then cold weather. But the tees and greens were a bit frozen which made it a bit of a lottery in places. A member-led club would probably have been closedReviewer Rating

Winter Course
We always try and play this course when the weather doesn't allow us to play any of our local courses in the South East.It drains ever so well. the greens are well maintained throughout the year.
Although it is quite hilly they allow buggies year round on the paths in the winter.
People in the proshop are always so helpful too.

Back after 4 years. Good nick but slow
After 4 yras and seeing it was a late tee time on Saturda, thought would give it a go. Usually 3 ball back then would take 4:30 to 5hrs. Hold up on 6th. Started waiting from 3rd and on 6th was clear!!! but that was the last time it was clear. Wasn't the 4 ball in front. They had no where to go as 2ball in front was waiting. Couldn't see any gaps for 3-4 holes ahead. Can't understand why so slow except everyone thinks they can hit the greens in regulation!!! Won't be going back there for some time.Reviewer Rating
