Cookridge Hall Golf Club Still Have Fun in the Snow
Cookridge Hall Golf Club in West Yorkshire decided that the snow wasn't going to stop them swinging a golf club and also raised £280 along the way.
With 2 weeks of below zero temperatures and lots of snow any chance of golf or golfers visiting the club was few and far between with only the range open but the staff came up with a great way to hit a club and have some fun supporting the club.
Gary Day, General Manager, along with the green staff and club MD set about carving targets in the snow to set-up a unique but cold target golf competition.
Hitting off the range mats 60 players turned up to take part in teams of 4 with all players having a choice of 3 targets from 5 balls.
The eventual winners were the Ginger Ninjas, (the Juniors team) and everyone had a great time and they also managed to raise £280.00 for the Junior section funds.
Remember the range is still open at Cookridge and as previously featured on Golfshake remember to support your local course.
