Lingfield Park Proudly Presents a New Golf Academy

Marriott Lingfield ParkLingfield Park’s brand new state of the art golf academy with practice facilities set to rival any counterpart in the area is hosting a grand opening on Wednesday 3rd November.

Sir Henry Cooper long term patron of Lingfield Park Golf Club will be an honoured guest at the opening and honing his skills on some of the new facilities.  The new extensive academy compliments the recently opened award winning 4* Marriott Hotel and Country Club at Lingfield Park, part of a £30 Million re-development.  The academy boasts :- three putting greens, a six hole practice green, a bunker practice area, a nine bay driving range, a covered area for lessons, a video coaching facility all set beside the stunning 18 hole golf course. 

Lingfield Park’s team of in-house golf professionals are looking forward to making use of the new facilities.  Chris Morley PGA Senior Golf Pro at Lingfield said, “The new facilities provide us with everything we need for teaching and will give the players extensive practice areas.  it also provides us with endless opportunities to attract new people locally at all levels including beginners or corporate hotel guests who may want a team building type of event.”

As well as a newly created Golf Academy membership, the new facilities will be open to annual golf club members, day golfers and hotel guests. 

The grand opening will begin at 8 am with bacon rolls, tea and coffee at the club house.  During the morning demonstrations will take place around the new facilities and visitors will have the opportunity to test their skills and pick up some tips.  Guests arriving early will also be welcome to play a round of golf *.  At midday there will be a drinks reception followed by lunch at the club house.  There will be further activities and demonstrations in the afternoon with the event expected to end at 4pm.
