The Best Golf Courses to Play For Under £100
The UK is blessed with hundreds of exceptional, world-class golf courses that draw visitors far and wide, but that quality has lately been reflected in a sharp rise of green fees, meaning that many of the most elite layouts in the country are now simply not affordable for the average golfer.
However, there are still incredible experiences out there that are somewhat more attractive, you just have to look a little harder for them.
We have gone through the Golfshake UK Top 100, which is based on the over 280,000 independent reviews that have been submitted over the years by the Golfshake Community, identifying those venues that most impressed everyday players.
From that collection, we have researched to uncover those that can be accessed for less than £100 during the peak months of the year between April and October - and we are excited to share them with you now.
Meet The Best Golf Courses to Play For Under £100 and make this a summer of golf to remember!

Southerness Golf Club
Location: Dumfries & Galloway, Scotland
Green Fees: £80, Monday to Friday
Golfshake Rating: 4.97
Review Comment: "Played Southerness on a very windy day, what a challenge! However, what a great links course, all aspects of the course were excellent and very well maintained, it rewarded a good shot with lots of trouble for wayward ones. All members of staff were very welcoming, making it a fantastic day out."
Silloth-on-Solway Golf Club
Location: Cumbria, England
Green Fees: £80, Monday to Friday, £90, Saturday & Sunday
Golfshake Rating: 4.96
Review Comment: "You will not find a better value for money course in the country. You CANNOT get away with anything that is just slightly off-line and you need to think your way around the course or it will make a fool of you. I loved this course so much as it tested my golfing brain and challenges you not take to many risks. So much so I have just been accepted as a member."

Trevose Golf Club
Location: Cornwall, England

Review Comment: "The staff were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was unpretentious. The views were fantastic and the course itself was both historical and challenging. It was a superb links course and was set up and kept in amazing condition. Highly recommended!"
Royal North Devon Golf Club
Location: Devon, England
Green Fees: £60, Twilight From 4pm
Golfshake Rating: 4.89
Review Comment: "I played at Royal North Devon on a recent holiday in Westward Ho! I was able to join up with a two-ball behind me, who were very friendly and guided me around the course. The course is quite level and exposed, but there are sufficient undulations to add interest and create a lot of blind shots. The greens were in great condition and you had to be accurate with your approach shots to keep the ball on the green. The view from the 6th tee is fantastic with coastal views for around 270 degrees around you. If you fancy a taste of links golf this is a great option."
Royal St David's Golf Club
Location: Gwynedd, Wales
Green Fees: £70, Twilight After 3pm
Golfshake Rating: 4.87
Review Comment: "We were travelling to the North Wales area for a birthday and decided to book into Royal St David's. I had visited the area many times before and always wanted to play the course. It is long and tricky but very rewarding. In wind and heavy rain, I found it challenging but very rewarding. The course is in excellent condition and well worth the green fees paid."
Ladybank Golf Club
Location: Fife, Scotland
Green Fees: £80, April & October, £75, Twilight After 3:30pm, May to September
Golfshake Rating: 4.86
Review Comment: "It's easy to see why this was a long-standing Open qualifying course. A classic heathland which was bone-dry and rock hard when we played it. I'm not sure I have every played on firmer greens which made it nearly impossibly to get up and down if you missed the many raised greens anywhere other than below the hole. The layout is fantastic and condition was great. Greens were super quick and treacherous, almost too much so but we did play it the afternoon after the Women's Scottish Matchplay had been staged in the morning. It is hard to lose a golf ball with the tree-lined fairways but even without that, it is one of the most difficult golf courses I have ever played. I am desperate to go back and give it another go."
Brora Golf Club
Location: Highlands, Scotland
Green Fees: £65, Twilight Golf After 3pm, May to October
Golfshake Rating: 4.86
Review Comment: "Terrific links course with great holes and great views. I was lucky with the weather, but can imagine how tough it must be when the wind really blows. The staff were very welcoming too. For those visiting Royal Dornoch just down the road, Brora is well worth playing if time allows."
Hirsel Golf Club
Location: Borders, Scotland
Green Fees: From £32
Golfshake Rating: 4.85
Review Comment: "Before we went someone referred to it as 'the Augusta of the North', they weren't wrong. Fantastic course, beautiful condition and a great test of golf. It was also one of the most friendly and welcoming we've visited for a long while."
Enville Golf Club
Location: Staffordshire, England
Green Fees: From £90
Golfshake Rating: 4.84
Review Comment: "Played both courses, preferred the Lodge, but the greens on both courses are amazing, certainly compared to anything I have played this year. A must if you're in The Midlands."
Blairgowrie Golf Club
Location: Perthshire, Scotland
Green Fees: £80, April, £90, October, £75, Twilight From 4pm, May to September
Golfshake Rating: 4.80
Review Comment: "The bunkering is fabulous with a natural topping as loved by James Braid. The pro shop and clubhouse are excellent with customer service that leads to me realise that the 100% Highly Recommended rating is no accident. I played at this venue in a UK team competition and it was excellent on both days. Food superb."
Lough Erne Resort
Location: County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland
Green Fees: From £39
Golfshake Rating: 4.80
Review Comment: "An absolute gem of a course with magnificent views, great holes and in great condition. I'd play again in a heartbeat."
Aldeburgh Golf Club
Location: Suffolk, England
Green Fees: £90, Twilight After 3pm, April to September
Golfshake Rating: 4.80
Review Comment: "The course exceeded my expectations, found it a really great test of golf. The greens were true but not too quick, fairways in excellent condition, but it does play long when the wind gets up, and although the fairways are generally forgiving enough for you to score well, a bad shot will be punished severely should you go into any of the gorse that lines most of the fairways, all in all it is a proper championship golf course and you will need to be on your game to score well. Will definitely return."
