However, there are some that stand above the rest in the minds of our users. We have been studying the data from this year to identify the finest that captured the hearts of golfers during the last 12 months, showcasing those which averaged perfect ratings from at least four reviews during that period.

Review Comment: "Played it at the end of an unusually dry summer, the course was fantastically baked out like an Open from the 1970s. Greens were very smooth and pure, ran much quicker than you'd expect on a links perhaps because they're a little sheltered from the wind. Every shot needed thinking about, it's quite mentally draining! I scored well but still came away feeling it had beaten me. A formidable foe."
