The worst course i have ever played on. Greens were as long as the fairways, all the flags had fallen out when i played so i had to go round and put them in. Driving range (practice nets) had all fallen down. Lost 5 balls from hitting it in the fairway, was too long and clearly neglected from being cut. No joke, this course was awful.

Some challenges and nice to play, but course has suffered over the last 2 years with at least 3 different owners.

A great academy for the younger golfer, very friendly and rarely too busy to turn up and play.
If there were a formal description of a course which is tougher and more varied than a pitch and putt but cannot aspire to St Andrews, then whatever that word would be, it would describe Burstow Golf club.
For the beginner, I think it presents an adequate challenge.
Be wary when wet, drainage can be an issue here.
