What the club says: Situated in 170 aces of cotswold countryside, there are no major roads or conurbations close by. With USGA greens meaning play all year round the 18 hole course provides a good challange at 6844 yards. Eleven of the holes involve water to a greater or lesser extent. An ongoing course development programme has recently seen the introduction of several new bunkers and tees. The newly developed 9th and 10th holes came into play during 2004.

Lovely early morning mid week round, pro shop were welcoming and friendly. Course was in immaculate condition compared to some other courses I've played and the greens were very well manicured and quick. I had the luxury of not being tailed by anyone so felt I had the course to myself which let me really digest each shot before playing with the help of the course guide available in the proshop for £5 ofcourse, which is very helpful for first timers like myself. A few bunkers were G.U.R but it didn't take away from playing as I never found them.
Overall I would encourage anyone to give the course a shot and for a early morning green fee of £40 it's well worth it.

I have played this course twice now as a visitor and live in the area. It is a great course and one of the best playing conditions around, but the members are not nice to visitors and both times I've played I've had confrontations with members. Both times were started by members. I'd recommend playing the course or just using the range, but I likely won't go back to play 18 since the members are not friendly.

Nice course

I played The Wychwood as part of a small golf society. The course was in excellent condition, even after rain had fallen over the previous two days. It's a visually interesting course and certainly challenging enough for the majority of our players. The bunkers were all in good condition (always a sign of a well kept course) and the fairways were good despite the recent rain. The clubhouse is smart, if a little clinical and utilitarian, but we were given a good lunch of ham, eggs and chips (the ham was excellent!). We all had avery enjoyable day and we would definitely play at The Wychwood again.

Great Course with lots of water

This course is a hidden gem In The Cotswolds. Friendly club pro always willing to offer help and a good bar with great food. The course has a lot of water featured holes and this makes for a very interesting course.

excellent run club

played here on a Brita charity golf day. staff were very friendly and the bacon rolls and tea/coffee never seemed to run out. Really enjoyed the course which was playing very nicely, all the par 3s have water in front and although only 3 par 5 the par 4 need 2 good hits to get to the greens. would recommend
