What the club says: An 18 hole, championship golf course which occupies 145 acres of the Hatfeild Hall Estate. Designed by Patrick Dawson, a course architect for part of the Augusta national course in America, it offers a true test of golfing ability.

It was a good course and some very interesting holes but in my opinion it needs more length for the bigger hitters

Avoid in winter

Excellent condition
Very nice course and not the easiest.but in excellent all round condition. Greens fast and true. Stroke index 1 is a beauty. Holes 14 to 17 take it out on you but playing the last makes up for this...one of the best final holes around. Big thank you to everyone concerned with the running and upkeep of the club. great course worth a visit
very good course just needed a little bit of work with bunkers and some of the grass could do with a cut hard at times trying to find your ball on edge of fairways but all in all the weather could have a bit to do with that the greens where in great condition and very fast really enjoyed the roundReviewer Rating

Super course and clubhouse

Changes to the length of grass here this year. Many of the bunkers and surrounding tees, the grass has been allowed to grow wild. This has certainly changed many of the approaches to the greens on a very challenging course with it's water hazards and many bunkers. Different strategy needed to play here again.

Nice Round
Nice course - good layout - nicely challenging.Course needs a little TLC around bunkers and the odd tee, but overall good value for money

Played Normanton for the second time in a couple of months and it doesn't disappoint, okay the tee boxes leave a little to be desired (it is the end of October) but the greens were fantastic and a credit to the green keepers. The course was very busy and pace of play a little slow (4 1/4hrs for a two ball) but the weather was good and we weren't in a rush! Would I recommend it?100% and will look forward to coming back in summer because if it's like this now??.

Best greens this year
1st time we have played Normanton this year (finally managed to get a good deal). Very nice course and not boring. Greens were in excellent condition. By far the best we have played this year . ( very fast). Big thank you to Gary in the pro shop and all connected with Normanton golf club. Hopefully weather permitting and getting another good deal we will be playing it again this year.(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 96 Handicap: 16.8)
