What the club says: This delightful nine hole, par 34, 2741 yard course was built on the 500 acre Leeds Castle Estate in 1931 by Sir Guy Campbell.

The maturity of the Kent parkland surrounding Leeds Castle provides both challenging and spectacular holes from start to finish.

Intervals of 8 minutes between tee-off times mean that the course is rarely congested. Our Pro Shop is fully stocked for all your golfing needs.

There are also changing rooms with shower facilities and refreshments are available in the shop.

Golf lessons available, including playing lessons, with Head PGA Professional Scott Stevens and PGA Professional Tom Bull.

Great setting, course in great condition. Tricky and narrow course with plenty of blind tee shots. No Par 5 and not a test of length.

Very picturesque course

Nice little course, seems to get very busy, but well worth a round or two.
Greens were being treated when we were there, but they should be in good condition soon.
Overall, the course was quite challenging as is fairly tight in a few spots.

Interesting course

A little rough on the fairways at the moment due to worm casts but beautiful views over the parkland and the castle easily make up for it.

Lovely

A really interesting and pretty course with lots of hidden hazards. The ground was a lot firmer than other courses nearby - far less mud. Nice facilities too. Will visit again

An excellent 9 holes offering tight tee shots, undulations, some open shoulder hitting and several blind shots coupled with a spectacular castle backdrop. Many of the holes seemed to be downhill with little upward hikes to the next tee. Greens were heavily sanded but bunkering is clever. Not a course for those who spray.

Prettiest course in England?

You might think, looking at the website, that Leeds Castle Golf Course could be a bit of an afterthought. The Castle itself looks like a highly commercial , very well organised tourist attraction, so you might wonder how much attention is paid to the golf course. Not least because it’s hard to get a sense of what the course is like, other than a couple of very pretty pics near the castle’s moat. Otherwise all you can find out is that there are only nine holes and no par five. So, since they are not shouting about the course, it’s probably a bit dull then, and not too difficult?

Don’t be fooled. This would be a brilliant course to play wherever it was. Winding through mature, hilly woodland, the course makes a feature of blind tee shots (helpfully guided by white boulders placed on the fairways) tremendously well thought out green complexes, many of them raised and with lightening fast greens, with serious bunkering, and a real emphasis on strategy. There isn’t an easy hole on the course, but particular standouts are the sharp dogleg third - with a narrow raised green that must be 60 yards long, meaning good placement of your drive is essential, and the double dogleg ninth with a spectacular (blind) tee shot down the hill and then a second over water and back uphill to another raised green, again guarded with bunkers.

Oh, and the fifth and sixth, which play around the Castle, providing those sensational views. The moat is literally in play.

I’ve often thought that the Isle of Skye golf club must be the prettiest in the world. Having played Leeds Castle, I can say that the Scottish beauty spot has a challenger.

It is also a serious and thoroughly enjoyable test of golf. I’m going back soon.

Nice Kent 9 Course

I enjoyed my time here
Quite a few hills and bunkers to keep good golfers entertained, course loops nicely in a circle past the Castle.
A lot of people will play this course for the views of Leeds Castle. Around holes 5 and 6 it's pretty spectacular. You will get tourists watching you tee off the 5th. I know I did.
The green conditions were good.
There is a nice pub and restaurant next door for that after golf pint.

This has to be played, only nine holes but set in stunning grounds and the views over the Castle from the 5th tee takes your breath away. Value for money, so much so, that I returned for another round the next day.

great shorter course

Although not the longest course offering up no Par 5, it has many interesting features and some tricky green side bunkers make it a lot of fun.
