Stunning but brutally difficult course
It's easy to see why this was a loong-standing Open qualifying course. A classic heathland which was bone-dry and rockhard when we played it. I'm not sure I have every played on firmer greens which made it nearly impossibly to get up and down if you missed the many raised greens anywhere other than below the hole. The layout is fantastic and condition was great. Greens were super quick and treacherous, almost too much so but we did play it the afternoon after the women's Scottish matchplay had been staged in the morning. It is hard to lose a golf ball with the tree-lined fairways but even without that, it is one of the most difficult golf courses I have ever played. I am despreate to go back and give it another go.Reviewer Rating

Stunning
Get there early for a warm up at the impressive short game/range. As you go through the course you’ll be met with fantastic scenery and wildlife. The course conditions are second to none. From a distance the entrance to most greens look tight. They are actually deceivingly tighter due to run off areas that feed the impressive bunkers. There are no two holes the same where especially the last four or five could make or break any scorecard. A real hidden gem in Fife where quality golf courses come in abundance.Reviewer Rating

Brilliant golf course
Third trip to Ladybank, always a pleasure. Course in great condition, greens stunning. Lovely mix of holes, tight in places yet a fair test. Luckily got to see some red squirrels this time! Definitely worth a drive to when visiting St Andrews & when compared with some of the local courses, is very reasonably priced.Reviewer Rating

Add to your trip if off to St Andrews
Played here twice and really enjoyed both rounds - it adds a different dynamic if visiting the links courses of St Andrews and the surrounding area. Always in good condition, a nice mix of holes as you meander through tree lined fairways. Was quite a slow pace on Sunday morning, but the sun shone so we were happy!Reviewer Rating

The back nine was slightly more of a challenge than the front 9 especially the closing 5 holes which are all par 4's through the tree lined heathland surroundings.
The course was in fantastic condition, what a credit to the Greens Staff.
We ate in the Clubhouse after our game and we can not fault anything, the food was great, staff friendly and we were made to feel very welcome by a group of members who were in.
We have already booked this gem of a course for when we return to the area in July 2021 for the British Open Championship.

Played Ladybank on the way home from St Andrews. Stunning course, real mix of testing par 3s, tight drives, dog-legs etc. Greens in great condition, club house food (& prices) were excellent. Would recommend highly.Reviewer Rating

Well presented parkland course. Tree lined holes draws your eyes to the greens which vary between flat, slopes and dual tiers. Flat course spread out in fantastic woodland in the middle of Fife.clubhouse welcoming to all who arrive.Reviewer Rating
