What the club says: Kingsbarns Golf Links is proud to be part of the heritage of links golf in St Andrews. Located 7 miles south east of the ’home of golf’, the game has been played on the site since 1793.
Kyle Phillips designed this Top 100 Ranked golf course and by setting it in an amphitheatre along the coast, nearly every hole boasts spectacular views of the North Sea. Each Autumn Kingsbarns joins the Old Course, St Andrews and Carnoustie Golf Links as a co-host of the European Tour’s prestigious Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.

Kingsbarns
Amazing course with terrific views and facilities. I’ve been lucky enough to play it many times and have played it for free a few times.I would play it every day and be happy.
I live in St. Andrews so Kingsbarns is only 5 miles up the coast.
It’s a belter of a course.

Unbelievable experience
From the moment you arrive its an experience you wont forget. The meet and greet was extremely welcoming, the practise area well setup with free balls and a lovely Club house and facilities. We were paired up with a husband and wife from the US who had paid for two caddies. Throughout the whole round both offered us advice of club selection and lines even though we hadn't paid. The scenery was stunning, the course challenging but it all added up to fantastic and memorable day, Highlight for me was a 65ft putt for Par which the caddie had given me the line and pace on...he was as chuffed as i was! Expensive, but as it was a 60th birthday present well worth it. I would encourage any golfer to play this course at least once, you wont regret it.Reviewer Rating

Bucket List
This course is on most people\'s bucket list, mine included, so I was delighted to get to play it. We got a good deal, but it was still the most I have ever payed for a round of golf, by far! The facilities and the service could not have been better - it really is a pleasure to roll up to places like this and get treated so well.\As for the course, many of the holes are outstanding - visually stunning, well-designed, and challenging, but fair for all levels. However, there are a few holes that are completely plain and forgettable, which surprised me given the reputation the course has.\I\'m glad I have ticked it off the list, and if you get the chance you certainly should. But, in all honesty, I won\'t go out of my way to go back again.Reviewer Rating

Best course I've played
I'm not bragging......but i'm up to around 250 different courses played in the UK including most of the Open/Ryder Cup venues & this is by far the best so far. The layout, variety, scenery and hospitality are second to none. Yes, it's expensive, but it's a 'treat' course that if you are lucky, may only play a couple of times, so save up and play it - you'll not be disappointed. And putting out 'fairway lights' as it was a bit foggy when we tee'd off to help us round was a new experience......pure class!Reviewer Rating

Cost
I’ve played all the St. Andrews courses now apart from Kingsbarns,it looks amazing but is any course worth the green fees they charge.the old course was £90 pounds which is good valve having all the history that comes with it.kingsbarns £285 because it’s claim to fame is the dunhill.surely the prices are the wrong way around.Reviewer Rating
