What the club says: Old Tom Morris (St Andrews) advised on the layout of the course located at Muir of Gart (where Cambusmore sand and gravel quarry is now) and Old Tom was invited to attend the official opening of the Club on the 7th June 1890. Lying at the entrance to the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park, the course consists of stylish wooded parkland with panoramic views to Ben Ledi. The 15th is one of the most famous par 3s in Scotland.

Beautiful location;Short but challenging
Stunning parkland course at the foot of Ben Ledi. Friendly helpful staff made the visit a very pleasant experience indeed for four Edinburgh golfers. Would highly recommend a game here. Several long par 3 holes favour long but accurate drives. The 17th par 4 is an uphill monster but wide open. Enjoy!Reviewer Rating

Good short course
Great short scenic course. Fantastic views to Ben Ledi on the back 9. The course is very short with drivable Par4s but this is countered with some tactically placed bunkers and some very long Par3s.The greens could be in much better condition with some rough patches and a lot of bald spots despite the good weather this year. Much to improve on this front but overall good course and nice facilities. Will be returning!

Good Day Out
Played 36 holes today at Callander. Good little course with some tricky holes. Only downside some of the greens were a bit bobbly. Otherwise an enjoyable days golf. Will play again some time this seasonp

Well worth a visit
Played 36 with lunch as part of a promotional voucher offered by the club via itison. Great value for money.Course itself is great. Really enjoyed the short but interesting layout. No two holes were too similar and many had outstanding views with mature trees and mountain back drops. There are a few par 3s which are outstanding and wouldn't be out of place on any course. Greens were extremely slow which I didn't like but other than that I would say the course is in good condition. Overall was a great day and would definitely reccommend.

Short but demanding course, fairways were excellent but greens had just been treated as not in great shape, hopefully should improve. Very friendly staff, nice clubhouse.
