As the name suggests its hilly, but a lovely and surprisingly not too busy a course given the proximity to Belfast

Castlereagh Hills

Don't be put off by this being a municipal course. It is well maintained and offers some great challenging holes. Please give it a go at least once, you wont be disappointed.

Nice course shame about the winter mats

Very nice course, weather has been wet this last while and the course still played well, greens where really good. Only thing I will say I was disappointed was having to hit every shot off a winter tee, not just on the tee box, on the fairway and in the rough. I understand it's to protect the fairways but it's not for me

Value for Money

With lots of variety, this inexpensive course is a really good option and certainly one I look forward to playing this course again.

Grew a beard

I grew a beard walking from the first hole to the second hole,I was using a push cart so no battery problems. A friend had suggested the hire of a golf buggy but a Land Rover may have done better.
My advice to anyone attempting a sundowner is to inform someone like Mountain Rescue what time your due home.
And my advice to the designer of this golf course is leave the helicopter at home when carrying out work like this.
