4 Drills To Improve Your Putting
Golfshake Equipment expert and PGA Pro Ryan Rastall talks through 4 simple drills that you can do on the practice green to hopefully improve your game. These simple drills on focused on getting you to challenge yourself to hopefully make you a better putter.
The 4 drills aim to get you to challenge your own putting and include:
1. 4 Point Drill
Simple drill to get you focused on a must make distance but from different places and different breaks. Set out 4 tee pegs in a North, South, East, West set-up and then see how many consecutive putts you can make.
2. Gate Drill
Set-up a tee peg gate a few feet away from the ball and set the width to something to get you focused. Once you've mastered this then simply challenge yourself by reducing the width of the gate. This will help to focus on your putting line and get you more consistent.
3. Pressure Putt Drill
This fun drill isn't necessarily focused on making long puts. Start out with a long 20+ foot putt and see how will you do. Wherever the ball finishes add an additional putter length to the putt which should put you under pressue to get up and down in 2.
4. Pace Drill
The final drill focuses on adapting your putting pace. Set 3 balls up at 3 different distance and see how will you can do judging the pace to get the ball to slow down just before the fringe.
Try these drills and let us know how you get on!
