Power Wedge Training Aid

By: Sarah Ramowski | Thu 23 Sep 2010 | Comments ()

SKLZ Power WedgeSKLZ, the industry leader in sports skill development products and equipment, today announced it has introduced the Power Wedge as part of the company’s line of golf training aids.

The new SKLZ Power Wedge is designed to aid in proper weight transfer and timing during the golf swing and can be used with all clubs. The Power Wedge is a compact device that is positioned underneath the golfer’s right heel, and emits a properly sequenced “click” sound as the club passes through impact when the golfer correctly shifts his or her weight to their front foot. As with a normal wedge, The Power Wedge prevents swaying back to avoid an off-balance ball strike, but its unique auditory feedback also helps synchronize the legs, hips and arms.

“Great golf swings are all about solid footwork and body sequencing,” said Greg Shoman, vice president of marketing, SKLZ. “The Power Wedge is so easy to use and so effective in developing proper weight shift, that instructors really love using this training aid during their lessons. It provides instant feedback and instant results.”

The SKLZ Power Wedge is included in the SKLZ Staff Program Package, which is currently being used by over 600 PGA professionals and instructors. The Power Wedge includes a detailed instructional drill card and retails for $14.99. For a video presentation of Power Wedge instructions and drills, visit  Practice Pod videos on SKLZ.tv.

SKLZ products are designed to fit into four training categories: Accuracy, Distance, Putting and Practice, allowing players to focus on the specific areas of their game that need work. The Power Wedge can be found in the Distance training category on the SKLZ website at www.SKLZ.com
