What the club says: Two fine Scottish Championship links courses The Old Moray and the New Moray, situated on the Moray Firth.
The Old Course - The Old Course was designed by Tom Morris over 100 years ago. It truly is a great links with plenty of gorse and pot bunkers. Some holes allow you to throw the ball right up to the green whereas others require precise pitch and run shots - a great test of golf
The New Course - Converted into 18 holes in 1979 by the late Sir Henry Cotton, the New Course is also a stern test of golf. Many of the holes run alongside the Old Course's holes and although it isn't as long, its tighter fairways and smaller greens make it an examining challenge.

Not quite as dramatic as the Old course, but worth a visit
Gorgeous views across the Moray Firth are a given here and the New course is quite a challenge with its tight fairways lined with punishing gorse. The fairways were a bit patchy which is a shame but the greens were excellent(Round played: Oct 2021 - Score: 98 Handicap: 18.8)

Tough little beggar
Moray New, probably not your first choice if playing Moray, but what an interesting, difficult little track. With the wind blowing, mostly against, then across, this course will test all your shot making abilities. Old style links, very fast greens, worth a play.On finishing your round, pay a visit to the Clubhouse for some of the best food I have tasted, in any Clubhouse.

The first four holes before crossing the road and the final stretch from 11-18 that gets progressively closer to the sea were the standout holes.

Great golf course
This is a fantastic golf club with the old and new courses available to play, the views are out of this world. You may also have the pleasure of watching the aircraft from RAF Lossiemouth coming into land whilst out on this spectacular course which is something you don't get to see very often at the great game. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone visiting or thinking of getting into the game. I have recently started playing again after 3 years and became a member today, great friendly staff and other members alike.Reviewer Rating
